(More customer reviews)I purchased this lathe about 1 1/2 years ago. The motor went on it about 3 months ago (with very light use - like once per month). Grizzly has still not been able to give me the parts I need, and my experience with customer service has been pathetic. For example, they shipped a motor, but not the other parts that were needed. So I've had a $150 motor in my workshop for 2+ months, which is starting to rust by the way. And the parts I need are not supposed to be in by "the end of the month" - the same story as last month. So now I'm looking at basically throwing a $1000 purchase (including stand) in the trash. Unbelievable....

(More customer reviews)This is my second lathe. I am told that all of the small Chinese lathes are basically the same. I picked the Cummins because (1) I could pick it up locally and (2) it come with a bunch of extras (like rests, a jacobs-style drill chuck, face plate, etc., it is big enough to do some jobs I enjoy. The machine is no Leblond, but hey, its a pretty accurate and very capable little machine that turns beautiful finishes and has plenty of support backup through Little Machine Shop. If you want to try your hand at a bit of machining but do not have room or money for a bigger machine, you might consider this lathe.

(More customer reviews)The level came in a well padded, wooden box. It had instructions on how to calibrate. We ran the checks and it was calibrated perfectly.
We used it to re-level our 8 foot pool table first. Balls no longer drift to one side when shooting soft. WEEEEEEEEEE.

Grizzly G8750 6" x 18-1/2" Compound Slide Table Review

(More customer reviews)This is a heavy-duty table - the construction is very solid. The table area is large compared to other units in this price range. The screws are well-made and there is little "slop" when changing direction. The adjustable gibs remove any side-to-side play in the sliders. The vernier scales are a little hard to read - the handwheel scale appears to be cast rather than machined, so the markings aren't as fine as I would have liked. The traverse screw does not have a stop - I moved the table a little too far and shaved some paint off the fixed vernier plate.
Unfortunately, the traverse screw on my unit was bent. After twice shipping me the wrong replacement part, Grizzly paid for return shipping on the entire table and has sent me a new unit. The entire process took six weeks. At least all of the support people I spoke with were polite and tried to be helpful. Regrettably, Grizzly does not have a toll-free customer service number.
I'd give the table four stars if it weren't for the hassle of getting it fixed.
