(More customer reviews)I purchased this item through Amazon to go with my milling machine and expected an American made product. Instead Palmgren has gone to China and I got an inferior Chinese manufactured vise with a stamped Palmgren nameplate. Vice was dirty and painted a sooty gray, not the American green as shown in picture. Machining and castings were not up to US standards. Two year warranty instead of lifetime for US manufactured vise. In short, disappointed. Amazon needs to properly represent what it sells.

Palmgren 30601 CV60 6-Inch Cross Vise Review

(More customer reviews)In spite of the quality of construction that went in to this vise the thread on the travel screw handles is not long enough to engage the locking insert of the nut for the traverse handles. This tension is important to the smooth operation of the slide. I was forced to use locktite to secure the nut at the right tension. Other than this shortfall it is a good piece of equipment
